Why is everyone complaining about price? If you cannot afford one and you really want one it should be motivation to save for it, do extra work for it or up your income game so that you can afford one.
Sometimes in life we just cannot afford some things, it happens. When you are successful enough and/or work extra hard to afford cool toys it's a sense of pride that you can accomplish something.
Complaining about things you can usually control or resolve and yet you don't, is so "TFF".

Been on the fence for a while now about getting a new trolling motor and have been waiting for it to be released. As for the price, I could stroke a check and not bat an eye if I saw the value in it. The more I look at it the less I’m liking it. For starters it won’t mount up to existing holes in the bow unless you want to buy a $250 adapter plate. Then have to drill another dozen holes in the boat to mount the control switches, foot pedal and stupid [censored] display that doesn’t dim and will blind you at night. More deck space taken up for the switches that would be better served being on the foot pedal. WTF were they thinking.

My wife said you already have problems stepping on the Power Pole buttons.

At least they give you a backup prop shaft pin in case you have to replace a prop on the water and accidentally drop one into the water because apparently they still have to use prop shaft pins on 5k trollers?

My wife said you already have problems stepping on the Power Pole buttons. I am in the same boat, I do what I can to not have more things on the deck of the boat. Also I do not really want my remote (which I do not use a lot) exposed to the Texas sun, rain, water from the lake and whatever else 24/7/365. A few things I think are great about it, but more things I think may annoy me at this point. I was hoping it was a "game changer", but it's really not, IMO.

For the price I was thinking it was going to have a shaft over a shaft. Internal shaft would’ve been the actual trolling motor shaft- external shaft would be to mount a live scope transducer, external shaft would be in a separate gps, basically what the new mink kota target lock does, but in an all-in-one unit. You can buy and ultrex and the target lock for less money. I don’t think minnkota has terrible warranty either.

I’m gonna start a pyramid scheme to buy one.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.
