In about 25 years I have been to a lot of houses hit by lightning. To date I have never ran on a patient that was electrocuted while in tbe bathtub or shower. Guess anything can happen.

When it is raining and the sun is shining means the Devil is beating his wife. I had a little red headed lady tell me that when I was about 19...never heard it before or since, until your post. Not to do the dishes near a window during a lightning storm. Our neighbor's mom was shocked that way during a storm and had a lot of damage to her hand. I'm going to assume they weren't lying when they told us that's how the damage happened?

Kinda the same concept as the shower I guess, but I heard my grandma say once never wash dishes during a thunderstorm. A lot of houses have a window over the sink so there a chance of a direct strike as well.

Probably because most folks are smart enough to just wait out the t-storm. Or that it never happens. I can't recall reading or hearing about it happening either.

A few weeks ago, during a good t storm, I saw sparks from my wife’s mixer in the kitchen. Twice. Both on very close sounding lightning strikes. The second time, I just UNPLUGGED it and sat back down in the living room. Almost a direct line of sight to the mixer on the counter top. I was telling her why I just unplugged it when lightning struck so close it rattled to dishes in the kitchen and I saw sparks bouncing from the mixer blades. Again. I was sure the house was hit. So sure I got my rain gear on and went to inspect the house in a downpour.
