Thanks! I'll start doing some research and find some 1-1-1, I'll let you know what I come up with. I'll also check around for Epsom salt, I have a Costco card so I'll be sure the check there as well. Here is what I've done so far:

8/30/2022 Lesco Stonewall 2.5lbs per 1000sf
8/30/2022 Scotts Max bag rate
9/1/2022 Elemental Sulpher bag rate
9/2/2022 Scotts Disease Ex bag rate
2/15/2023 Lesco Stonewall 2.5lbs per 1000sf

I have 7500sf total, front and back.

That's ok. Decent start. I like Soctt's. It's high N no P and little K depending on which product. Great prill size and homogenous. I believe Max is a 27-0-2. N is a given and you're lacking on P and K. If I remember correctly you have bermuda. Gong to hammer you with some questions. Overall, how did your lawn look last summer? Full sun, some shaded, got irrigation? Do you need to push growth to fill in bare spots or is it is full and you're looking to thicken up and maintain? I'll stop with those.

Keep them coming Derek. I do have Bermuda and full sun in the front. The front lawn looked pretty good and the backyard has some thin areas. I'm mostly looking for it to fill in nicely and maintain. I'm enjoying the line domination with the neighbors as well. I don't think I kept it mowed low enough last year so I want to stay on top of that better. I do have irrigation and I think I got that dialed in pretty well last year.

Here are a few givens and date.
You have your Stonewall apps down.
Elemental Sulphur. 5lbs per 1000 mid-April/June/August.
Later April put down GrubEx. - This won't kill grubs already in the soil. It will kill the new ones that try to enter the soil. Main thing for grubex is later in the year if we get an army worm out break like we did a couple years ago it will protect you from that.
Other than when you scalp don't bag your clippings.
Don't water in the middle of night. Have your system go off at 5am-ish so it will be done right around daybreak.

Fertilizer I would maintain the front with a 1/4lb of NBK a month. The back for fill in I will go at least 1/2lb until you get it where you like it then back it down to maintain levels. Once we know what product you're going with I can calculate your rates. Then you'll also know how many pounds you'll need for the year and you can go ahead and buy enough and have it on hand. Depending on the product on 7500 you're going to be in the neighborhood of 150lbs for the year.

Thanks Derek! I'm filling this in as we go. I'll keep you posted on the fertilizer search.

Spread sheet. I love it. Here is the cheapest Epsom I've found so far. About $70 with shipping. You'll need 45lbs for the year. 1lb per 1000 once a month April-September. Do it the same day you fertilize. Spread your fertilizer out then come back and spread this on top of it. Then water it all in. You can update you spread sheet now lol.

Home Depot has their Chapin 4 gallon 24-volt backpack sprayer on sale for 132.74. A savings of 60 bucks. That`s a good deal. I paid full price for mine 2 years ago. Sale ends in 12 hours.

Way to early. You want soil temps to be a constant 65deg minimum. On Avg that's going to be late March to Early April for NTX. You can chart current, years past and avg soil temps on Greencast. I would monitor them mid March. Look at the 10day and long term projected forecast and go from there.

I don't know your climate but I would think so. If it's actively grow and you're mowing already then go ahead and fert. If it's just now coming out of dormancy then wait a few weeks. My schedule is April-September.

Look at this crazy talk Truegreen sent me about my front lawn (St. Augustine) after they completed a scheduled service yesterday.... I know everybody says dont count on these guys but my front yard was getting so out of hand last year I had to throw a lifeline somewhere. I cant find any local pros who do anything like trying to fix a broken lawn. They all want to just mow and go.... I mow my own lawn just fine. I dont need lawn care, I need lawn cure! I also included what they applied. Keep in mind, my yard is still brown because it is still dormant and there are no green areas yet. Obviously I haven't mowed it since in went dormant quite some time ago. The last time I did mow it, the mower blades were only about 2 months old. They have been performing monthly services since last spring.

Yikes. I sure hope you didn't have any green areas. The Mecoprop and Dicama would put a world of hurt on St. Aug. Not sure why they didn't just go out Atrazine if they knew you had St. Aug. An app of Potassium on dormant grass is pretty useless. Plus your area tends to be high on potassium anyway to the point you could just run a Nitrogen only fertilizer. I would be on the hunt for a good spray and pray company. Typically your mow and blow guys will be a separate company. Spray and prays don't want anything to do with mowing. I'll look around for you too.
