That's Awful. Whenever I see these stories, I feel foolish for having thousands of electronics, but not a $300 leash. I will have one soon.

SHE ASKED ME,”what color do you want…grey or red?” I ain’t gonna be the guy that didn’t take a picture seriously. I am the crazy guy that runs balls out everywhere in a tourney. Time can’t be wasted. I didn’t even think something like that could happen, much less that a company made a product to prevent it from happening.

I've seen several of these stories with similar photos over the past few years. I think it's the best $300 you'll spend this week.

You would think that if this is even remotely a common problem that the engine manufacturers would have some kind of attachment to keep the motor out of the boat, I have been running bass boats since 1985, know of hundreds of others running them, not once have I even heard of this happening to any of them. I do know that it is a possibility of this happening, especially on the river lakes where floaters can be a problem after big rains, depending on where you fish it could be a good idea to have one.

It’s $300. I have more than that in DD26 products to hold my motor from wiggling on the way to the lake. It’s a drop in the bucket compared to most fishing related “anything”. It’s also way cheaper than my insurance deductible on an ER visit.

I've got one sitting on my workbench, ordered a couple weeks ago and will be installing later this week. Big discussion of pros/cons over on BBC a few weeks ago with the usual results of proponents and naysayers, but it convinced me to buy one for sure. This one's also got a thread going now.

Since I primarily fish fork, I would like to get one of the leashes but they don't make one for my motor.

Wow...freaking terrible. I lost a motor but was lucky it stayed out of the boat...that looks deadly right there. I remember you that! You were with Steve Alexander.

Hate to say this but it happened to a friend of mine on an older Skeeter. The Outboard landed in the passenger seat. Fortunately he was solo that day!

The casting that is broken off next to the power trim looks pretty thin!....Maybe that needs to be beefed up by the manufacturers. Saving weight at what cost?
Just one more cast!
