My ex brother in law had a small engine do that a couple years ago. He had 4 big gashes from the prop on his head and ended up with a fractured skull.

Man oh man! That is some scary stuff right there. Prayers for anyone in the boat. This just sold me on The Leash. It will be on any boat I own.

One of our members, Ken, had that exact same thing happen in his BassCat in Glade on Fork. He was following a guide lanes chip too. Hopefully he will come along and share his experience. Luckily, I think the only injury he and his a partner sustained was pride and maybe some under-Roos were also ruined in the experience.

OMG! Prayers for the driver and anyone else in the boat. Looks like the driver had a pretty hard impact with the console and graph. Hope he makes a full recovery! It looks more like the prop hit it. Not the drivers head

Don’t run where you don’t know the water and this won’t happen. You could still hit a floater or a loose dock float partially submerged, lots of [censored] to hit even on a lake you know like the back of your hand.

I have the Leash on my Mercury 250 4 stroke. It is very cheap insurance for those aboard and myself. Fishing the Coosa River here in Alabama you do not know what is coming down it when it has rained a good bit. Luckily I have never hit anything large enough to jack the engine up. But..it only takes one time and I would hate to know that ( If I lived through it) for less than $300 I could have not had this happen to my co-angler or myself.

That leash a life saver, I have a story from my a tourney partner where they hit a stump and the motor kicked into the boat still running, prop engaged bouncing all over the back deck. It was just pure luck neither him or the boater got chopped up by the prop.

Slow down to a safe, reasonable, speed and you won't need a leash. The lake is the last place one should be in a hurry.
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”
