When we went last year with a guide we caught 1 14" fish.
For those that think it's fishing in a barrel and you're guaranteed to catch a 10 pounder, you are wrong.

It's only a good cast if you catch a fish... Personal Best: 11.62 lbs

To be fair, the time before my brother and his son did catch a 10lber and over 40 fish.
We just hit it the day after a front and it shut those fish off big time.

Can't catch big ones if they aren't there!

[quote=TX Strampion]It's been nearly 9 years since I've been out there, but I will be back. It was quite an experience. I suspect there'd be a lot fewer people from up north paying 1-2k for a guide if they knew about CB. How will fishing a heavily stocked well managed lake, help me fish a public lake later on? If you go to this place, you are paying to catch fish. If you spend $1,000 - $2,000 on a guide, you are paying to learn things that you will be able to apply every day on the water after that.

Learning how to fish and use electronics is secondary.

Fished with my father and his friend. His friend caught zero, my dad caught 3 and I caught around 20 myself including two six pounders and a 4 lber. It was a fun day for sure but out of the three of us, we all had very different experiences lol.

It’s still fishing and learning to catch fish in a body of water. Unless they train their fish to only bite the bait they use...🤔

If you look at their website, you’ll see the fish are there. Look at Jimmy Houston fishing there on YouTube. Tell him that it’s cheating and see what he says. Just because I can’t afford to fish there doesn’t give me the right to talk down about the guys who choose to go there! Find something positive to put your energy into, your blood pressure must be really high...
