I might be fishing as a boater depending where the championship is going to be.

Not the regional. The national championship midweek.

I just noticed it wasn't listed. Last year I believe it was on the Red River. Generally it's normally toledo or texoma.

Pete is referring to the Ray Scott national championship. It is normally announced around the first of the year. The Red River is the first week of April this year for the 2022 season. 2024 has still not been announced.

Numbers are super low right now. I called today 1 boater and 7 Co angler registered. They have to schedule events better, bass Champs being at fork the same day is not good for ABA. It's gotten to be a pretty regular occurrence for the east tx division to have events same day as Champs and be at the next lake over. I'm afraid that they will end up dropping East tx, and just have the Southeastern at Rayburn/Toledo every month.

Yup, the National Championship. Thanks Matt……Numbers are low because folks want to know what they’re investing into so to speak for the season and if it’s appealing or not. Not on a knock on ABA directors specifically but more so the head guys not making the proper adjustments as an organization to appeal to the anglers. They are the one’s that truly makes any trail flourish. Numbers will continue to drop if ABA systems don’t get a revamp. Just my 2cents

Most all of the boaters I've fished with in ABA also team fish Champs, and TTT. I can't blame them for going to Champs, it's not much of a choice money wise. Would you rather split 20k at a team event or hope enough show up to win 5k solo.

Exactly why they need to revamp their business practices.

I’ll be there. Fishing as a co again this year just didn’t have time to get my boat ready. Hoping to win the co-AOY again this year for 3rd year in a row

Man share the info for these events on everything. I'd like to see it grow back to 50+ every event.
