I have FFS on my trolling motor so I use it to help locate fish, see their movements, or not, and then just fish that area or piece of cover or structure. I don't use it to watch the fish actually eat whatever it is I am throwing.

Agreed Doug. Same here. I can see them... but they wont eat. Only ones I have ever got to eat were on structure and I saw them cove over and nose down on my jig. I cant ever get a moving fish to hit a moving bait. Hell, Im probably throwing at suspended buffalo or carp! Hybrids/Stripers will turn and chase, but not eat. Another thing I have noticed is the Lowrance has a wider beam and you see more, so less turning of the ducer compared to my Garmin 34. Ive almost talked myself into changing. Capp's fault! he has AT
Answer to the OP question: Yes. The females should be staged

I think its safe to say that most all tournaments will be won utilizing FFS. If not today for sure within the next year. I don't think that there is even a large segment of local or regional tournament anglers that have mastered it to the level we see tge Elite and BPT anglers are using it at. There is a steep learning curve. Many will get frustrated and give upon it plus many people will find fish with it but then struggle to get them to bite. True, but that means that few that do will have some great success, as weve seen so far this year. Im not saying every tournament has been won this year using it as a typical livescope but it has been used by the winners in just about every event. The exception is Isles and Shook where Danny said he doesn't even have it. So, the majority of events are definitely being won with it right now, although you would think the next two months would even that out when fish are shallow. BUT, as weve seen in florida, even when the spawn is happening livescope is a player so it will still be a player for the top teams

I guess Im getting old. livescope has just about ruined fishing tournaments for me. Personally i hate it. But thats just me. I agree with this and yes, I am old also. I think the thing that bothers me the most is that it takes some of the skill/luck in finding fish. I get it that you still have to find them and get them to bite and it still takes time on the water but livescope certainly changes more with its technology than any other that I can remember. I also agree that mother nature will adapt in time but livescope is a huge leap forward in my opinion. Prior to livescope, if I found a group of fish prior to a tournament and then didn't get bit on tournament day, I would anguish over whether those fish were still there or had moved. It was actually a strategic conflict I had to wrestle with. Now, if I could use livescope as effective as the pro's, I would know the fish are there and not feeding or they moved instantly. Changes things quite a bit.... Folks are still gonna bump into a wad of them by accident but by far, livescope is changing the game in a big way.

I wonder if in the next decade if technology will be to the point it actually levels the playing field.

I wonder if in the next decade if technology will be to the point it actually levels the playing field. the best 1% will always be better than the other 99% regardless of the current tech and in tournaments the same groups will donate and the same groups will cash checks the variance is sometimes donators luck into something that cashes a check or even wins

Fork is a different animal when it comes to tournaments. Ive seen and done it myself, beating overs with a good under sack. Happens a lot out there.

Was on the water today and caught 1 over and 8 unders all in less than three feet. Somebody will do well in the back of creeks shallow. Last 4 trips I was skunked. Find the clearest water. Did see folks on main lake live scoping with both anglers watching the live scope:

you can see the OH MY GAWD, HOLY GEEMINEE IS YO MAMA WHAT THE HELL IS THAT fish on livescope all day long, has nothing to do with ability to catch said behemoth. jmo
I have full garmin, force, livescope, 3 93's and even though I see the fish somewhat (still not dialed in right) I catch about as many as before.
yes it helps, so did paying attention to the bank and doing 3 point coordinates on spots prior to sonar. they go hand in hand. again, jmo.
