No fishing today but did fishing things at Cabelas at the Dallas Fly Fishers fly tying class!

Managed several Bass on ultralight baitcasting gear and a micro finesse ned rig by Z-Man!

When pond fly fishing try using an OPST Commando Head or Skagit Head for One-Handed Spey Casting. Makes for quick casts when working a bank!

GoPro Mobile Fishing Livestream at a local pond fishing the Thief pattern... one I tied at the Dallas Fly Fishers Fly Tying Class at Cabelas earlier this week!

Caught two Bass... one went almost 20 inches in length, other was not so big. Both were fun to catch on the 2wt Fiberglass CGR Fly Rod!

Bass one was caught in the first 5 minutes of the stream. Second in was caught in the last 5 minutes.

Try this fishing tip, and catch more fish. But, you still need to follow through and land it.

Here is the edited version of the GoPro Mobile Fishing Livestream from last week when I fished Sonic Pond for a chance at the Bass on their beds!

Back out before a storm moved #GoPro #fishing #livestreaming #flyfishing for Bluegill with a Foam Grasshopper. Lots missed but did get one before it poured.

Try this tip when fly fishing for bass when they are spawning on their beds. Measure the distance of your cast by false casting until your fly line is well past the fish's bed.

Fishing updates... tried fishing the Foam Grasshopper at the local pond. One Bass and one Bluegill caught and released, else it was a lot of missed strikes once I located the Bluegill. Did get an idea where to fish next time at least. May try a Foam Spider aka Betts Bream Getter next time. The longer body on the grasshopper may be giving them too much leeway from the hook point.
