My son said he wanted to go out and get him a 30.. said let's go, we can try. Haven't gotten to fish with my son very much but now he just moved back to the area. So had some quality time with my son wich I enjoyed. Was hoping for a big fish and we got 3. Started our drift at 230 and ended at 5. Fish event as stacked as they were last week, but I think we did ok on sizes, no amount. But I will take it just to see his reactions. In all we both had a good time. [Linked Image]

Well done! We were out in the morning and by noon the wind had wore us out. Thought the bite might get better later in the day but my grandson and I were done around noon... Ended up with 8 or 9 fish, two of them just under 30 pounds at 27 and 28.

You guys had to have had a blast. Certainly don't lose the focus, you guys being together and on the lake, don't have to catch fish and still be a great time. I use to work the biggest bass tournaments in the world guys, I saw so many of those guys out there, just miserable, no I mean absolutely miserable. Nothing I tried to do or what I fixed for them helped that either. They were taking a sport I love, and just making their self miserable with it. Not anything I know of more sad than that.

Just let that sink in a little, really was a terrible thing going on there back then. All over and on some of the best lakes in the country. Made such an impact on me, I still use that to try and help point out things some of us may loose focus on, in hopes of helping others. I have to re-center myself on things and the biggest problem is figuring out the WHEN lol. I am my worse critic and just have to see around that on things lol.
