I will be adding either the bird mega 360 or Ghost 360. I’m running all Lowrance and ghost tm so still doing my research on the ghost 360. I just don’t want a lot of clutter up front. Been thinking of trading my Garmin in on an another Lowrance unit and running AT. But still questioning that even. I have the software update to do it. But it has to have the AT transducer in perspective mount/mode for it to work. Then you’d have to constantly be rearranging the mount back to forward to fish. Kinda gimmicky if that’s a good word for it.

Sinkey,
I've been in several people's boats with Ghost 360 and based on what I've seen and their comments, I wouldn't recommend. You can not use the 360 if the trolling motor is engaged (can't anchor or move the foot pedal, if you do, the 360 automatically pauses). Not sure if you knew that or not but wanted to make sure you knew before you purchased. The people that have gotten them that I've worked with did not know that tidbit of info.
Lynn That’s what I heard Lynn. That’s what’s got me looking at the mega 360. I know it has great reviews. Just didn’t want to add another unit up front. But may do that and got to Lowrance AT on my existing unit now.

Mega 360 to help find structure and cover, FFS to determine if there are fish on it. If you need help getting them tuned once they're installed, give me a shout.

My graph won’t let me use the AT while in 360 scan mode, it’ll lock the graph up.

I must be blind or not know what i am looking at, I could not tell a nickels worth of difference in the two. Have you used your AT very much? (I think you have it, I might be thinking of someone else) I have not used it a lot, I was just referring to the video where they had them side by side, I am not trying to imply that AT is as good or better, just did not see much difference in the comparison.

My eyes see a much better picture on the 34 vs. the AT.

Honest question.
Why would you test them both at factory default settings? You should have adjusted each to the best picture/returns possible. That would be a better comparison. After all, each has adjustable settings for a reason. Why show one, the other, both possibly not in their best respective settings. It was more a comparison of which company got lucky and had the best default setting for the lake that day.

Yep, I agree, show the world the best they can make it. The AT doesn’t have much more to offer though.

Just a guess, I think that AT and ML have so much filtering built into their systems that there isn’t a lot of adjustability built into them and that’s the reason for all the movement and delays on the screen?
Where LS gives you more raw data and more ability to adjust the filtering? But when you add the layers of filtering to LS you end up with the same jerky delayed screen as the other brands?

Well some how or another that JJ guy is catching unheard of numbers of giant bass with AT, I guess if he had LS he would surely catch the world record, I just do not see that much difference but my eyes are 63 years old. I have had both units and I still cannot catch em for what thats worth .
