On a few baits we can almost watch the bait slowly turn red? Anyone have this issue. Bait comes out of mold ok and changes???????

Are you using salt, scents, oils? Not sure I've read about this?

No sir, we are using Biatplastics product 242 and Lure works white "pearl". its only the plastic mixed with the pearl that's turning. I mean the bait is good and about 10 minutes later it has a red hugh too it???

Got a call back from Angling AI and he (i think it was mat) had some good pointers. The one thing that links the bait turning red is the pearl, The green doesn't turn or any other color. We have been reheating (micro wave) so "matbe" the pearl is turning due to that?

We are washing everything we got and starting from scratch to see if it continues. I think its either the pearl or the O ring maybe in the injector?

Can't imagine the o ring having anything to do with that. Overheating the pearl is a possibility though, especially if the first batch don't turn. I don't add pearl until the raw plastic has hit 350 and then cooled down to 325 or so. On reheats go slow and don't take it over 330.

See if they catch first. I like them. You might have stumbled on to something.

Well it looks like the pearl powder is causing the color change when reheated too much....confirmed with a test run
