Wait...you have Influencers salex...?? Oh the world is ending for sure....they have invaded the fishing world now...:) Next you'll be getting a tv show called Keeping up with the PWF'ers...:) It will feature provocative shots of bass and semi-wraped boats. Hey maybe a daytime soap called "As the reel turns".

Sorry...couldn't resist...all in fun by the way.

Those ramps are tough on Fayette, steep and they can get slick. So your front tires may not be able to hold, especially if you got pizza cutters on. Almost always had to use 4x4 to get my empty trailer out of that lake.

The absolute worst "good" ramp I've ever used. I've seen probably 20 trucks perform a burnout competition on that ramp.

Both Fayette and Squaw are moron magnets.

Ford's don't float very well especially if the windows are down.

I may have seen this same incident. Green slime grows on the ramps at FCL. When this slime is exposed when the water is low, trucks can very easily slide back into the water. I busted my !@# at Oak Thicket one time.

Not been in years but that looks like the easier of the two ramps the one on the PPlant side is what I call an OMG ramp, you see blue sky when you back down. Truth is you put it in low and most trucks should crawl up most ramps, spin the tires its over.

It happened to me at Lake Belton while I was in college. There’s not a more helpless feeling than watching your vehicle slide down a ramp and fill with water. A diver and tow truck were required to pull it out. It was a bad combination of a steep ramp, ramp slime, possible mechanical failure and inexperience. The boat floated fine and kept the vehicle from falling into the deep. It made the newspaper.

I still double check my gear shift position and emergency brake to this day, 30 years later. I think of it every time I launch. It left quite a memory of fear and embarrassment in me.

I saw it happen on lavon once on one of the rather slippery ramps. Only takes one time starting up a steep ramp and having those back tires start to spin and you’ll never own another 2wd truck again.

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

That’s an interesting way to launch a yak.
