He is there. Not hard to find. His little booth is right near the front door. Right outside the window where his booth is his truck was parked. Its obviously his lol. He was wearing that blaze orange beanie. Not hard to find.

I said hi and congratulations on his recent great catches. He was friendly. We talked briefly.

Its funny people will say things online they would NEVER say in person. Would not even consider it. Its harder to look someone in the eye and say mean things to them.... especially to a guy you really dont even know. I did not see anyone giving him a hard time. Lots of folks saying howdy was all and he was polite and cordial with them all from what I briefly observed.

But back to the show! The show was sweet. Enjoyed looking at all the stuff and talking with all the guys there. Parking was nearly full! Show gets bigger each year for sure. Great food right there as well.

I give it two thumbs up! Could have spent a full day there just dock talking with everyone.

Yes, I've poked fun at JJ, but I've met him in person and said how he's seeming legitimately down to earth. If anything, he does come off very arrogant in his social media post. Xcite baits were at the show and I finally got to meet the owner. We talked about his new colors and new baits. I have been using Xcite baits for many years now, both soft plastics and his square bill crank baits. He produces quality baits.

Lloyd is good people. I'm glad you got to meet him. Very genuine and like to talk fishing.

Went on Saturday and spent several hours there walking the show, talking with fellow anglers, several pros, and watching the presentations.

My take aways:

1) Many vendors all local with great products and willing to talk shop.
2) Pros all said the same thing...FFS is a tool. Including JJ. They use it to locate, identify, and see how the fish react.
3) Boats have come along way with electronics, features, and pricing.
4) We have a great group of enthusiasts and seeing the kids at the show only show the sport growing.
