Well...After getting skunked last week at Decker, it sure was GREAT to be back on my home lake. Got there around 9:30 & fished until 5 pm. The parking lot had 6 trucks in it when I got there which was the fewest people I have seen out there in a long while...glad they had to FINALLY go back to work ! The weather was awesome with light winds from the East. Water temp is back in the mid 60s on most of the lake. Ended up with 1 lucky catfish, 2 lonely sunfish, and 51 hungry bass. I was going to clean the catfish if I caught another one, but did not so it was released (lucky). There didn't seem to be any other sunfish in the area where I tried for them, so they had to be lonely. I did end up with some bigs today...a couple over 4 and one over 6 which absolutely made my day. The fish in the timber were caught on a shakey head setup 3/16 oz with a Gary Yamamoto worm in the color Elders Magic. The rest were caught on a 1/4 oz Ned Rig with a 4" Z-Mann in various colors. These are officially my 1st fish of 2023

Nice haul Steve ! Went to Canyon today with my brother and sister. My brother caught one nice bass. My sister and I caught Pepe Le Pew !!

Jamie...I did not measure any...I just check the weight if I think they may be bigger than 4 lbs. The odds of catching a big fish are better now because the females are full of eggs. But they are also feeding on shad for sure...
