Looking to take my son on a 2-4 day trip to a new to us Lake in March. Any suggestions on a Lake to try? We primarily fish Pines and Caddo so willing to travel most anywhere in the state.

Plenty of good lakes over in your area. I would try Naconiche if I lived closer to it. Or Kurth.

Where ever Milliken has been fishing, which is East Texas somewhere.
Falcon if the border doesn’t scare you.

If you want totally different, 2-4 days on Texoma would be nice at that time of year. You could fish a different area every day and still not hit the whole lake.
You can do the DFW lakes and hit multiples, head out to Bridgeport or Possom Kingdom for some clear water fishing...
Lots of variety to choose from!

I would say my favorite lake, but it's a hidden gem. So I would say Falcon in late January, early Feb, and when it warms up..

Falcon if the border doesn’t scare you. Don’t listen to this guy. Choke Canyon is on fire and he’s trying to keep it a secret.

Lol I wouldn’t do that to someone driving from that far, I don’t know what’s going on; but struggle is putting the fishing mildly. Hopefully, once it warms up a bit, it gets better. I might have to take up catfishing with the way it’s been lately though. BassChamps is there at the end of the month, it’ll be interesting to see how their weights are. A few typically whack them, but I’m curious about the average weights overall.

We have a Nation tournament there the 22nd, not looking forward to it.

Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn can be really good in March! Lots of areas to fish if you need to get out of the wind.

Would depend on what spices your fishing for. If Large Mouth you looking for numbers of that One big one.
Best todate 12.03 Clyde Lake. 1995 Elite 202 Champion still floating.

Naconiche is beautiful... lots of grass, standing timber, big bass and nice places to stay on lake. Relatively new lake, opened 12 years ago. Caught my biggest bass there this past May.. 27 inches, 12 lbs .8 ounces
