I apologize in advanced if this has been discussed. I did a search and didn’t find anything . I just upgraded my 2018 fx for a 2023 FXR , quick question, where u plug into to charge your batteries, did they take away the extension cord that pulls out the boat ? I plugged my extension cord into the boat , but be for I got to yanking on that plug I can’t get out of the port , I just wanted to make sure skeeter didn’t change something and I break it right off the bat.

I know what I see the market doing more and more of is this new style deck flange mount that actually holds the male plug of the pig tail wiring from the charger. So basically you don't have to cut the oem plug of the charger cord end off and then wire up the socket of the old style deck mounts we have had forever.
I just put a new Minnkota charger in my boat and if you don't use this new style deck mount that huck up on the existing male plug of the cord of the charger, cut that plug off and do like we have been you VOID the warranty. I felt very darn lucky I actually read all that stuff as I have no idea how many chargers I have drilled the hole and put the deck mount setup on and cut that male plug right off and never looked back. So you may be either going to run an extension cord down in the bilge and plug up to the loose wiring or mounting up this new mount. It is close to the holes for a direct swap out, but the small holes were not a match.
I will say this new deck mount I bought sported the Minnkota brand and was nicely made, and basically going to actually do a better job of keeping that plug connection dry. More so than the older one ever did. Just say'n...
