That's great, Mud! How are the boys doing? Or have they given up?

They quit. One of them is actually up 20 pounds. He never embraced the idea.

Man, I hate to read that. I know they are young, but dang, it's hard to take off the weight and change habits at any age.

I've been plateaued for 3 weeks...longest I've been plateaued is 6 weeks...Just keep doing what you're doing. Maybe go a bit nuts one day (like add 700 calories or do some different exercises) and see what happens. I've had to go 1700 calories over one day before to jumpstart things, but that was back in late 2012 when I couldn't loose [censored] for about 8 weeks. A piece of apple pie did it for me that time. Also, increase your water intake a bit...

Week 10 weigh in. It’s been an odd week. At one point, I had dropped into the 178s then my weight shot back up to 182. All I could figure was all the physical labor I did clearing trees caused some inflammation. Todays weight was back where I started last Thursday and I am going to count that as a victory. 179.2 for the official weigh in. No weight loss, no weight gain.

As normal, I weigh less the day after the official weigh in date. 178.5 today. I will take it, but it certainly goofed up the fan fare yesterday. I’m learning which foods can hold me over the longest. Potatoes are not as bad as I thought as long as I don’t load them down with goodness. Peanut butter sandwich is also a good late afternoon hunger buster. Yes, both have lots of carbs, but I’m not overly concerned with all that. I am averaging about 1,200-1,300 calories a day. Once I drop another ten pounds, we shall see what that looks like and move into maintenance mode.

Monday morning, 177.4. Down a touch over a pound over the weekend. Anytime I lose weight on the weekend means I am going to have a very productive weight loss week. Lots of traveling this week so I will be at the mercy of Subway for a few days.

Good for you. I am at my target weight of 175 and holding, but I'm thinking I might work down to 170.

About 5-9.

I traveled all week for work and missed my official Thursday weigh in. I worried about getting out of my routine, but still had a good week.

175.9.

Trucking along. 6 pounds to go before I evaluate when to go into maintenance

Another full week of travel coming up. This week will be more difficult not to gain since there will be more organized supper each night. I won’t be able to go to the motel and work out.

It’s changing as I get older. I’m 5’10 at the moment
