I have the striker Ice climate jacket and i can tell you this, it is amazingly warm. I will also say that its very heavy. I have had aftco, simms, and few others and in my opinion the striker ice is hard to beat. Only negative is its heavy. after a full day on the lake and wearing it, my back hurts and im in my 30s.

I recently bought a pair of the Magellan pro bibs from Academy and really like them. Not too expensive. Jury is out how long they last but they were warm without being too warm.

I'm an Army surplus shopper. Cold weather underwear. Polypropylene.
And since I fish off rocks. A pair of the Bates brand hiking boots.

I post this up every year when folks start asking about cold weather gear. It was 5 degrees this day with a wind chill of -15. I had on long-johns & flannel underneath. This was taken in Montana on the Continental Divide. Never got cold. It is a 15 yr old BPS 100 MPH suit. I cannot wear this suit unless it is below 40 outside. Easily the best $550 I have ever spent in my life. 8 years still like new

turns out not made anymore..they suggested Striker Ice Predator After reading this comment I went to I.D.I. gear (arctic armor suit maker/original company) and looked on their website to see if they still had any of the *3 layers* still in stock because I wanted one if they did so I would have a backup to my original suit because I have been so impressed with it. Before ordering, I called the company today to verify they still had some in stock and he said yes in most sizes. I got the bibs and jacket for 1/2 price of what I paid for it several years ago. From a little research I did, it seems this material has such good insulation properties they have now focused their effort on using it for exterior housing insulation during new construction, the stuff is paper thin, waterproof, and breathable.
