Looking for a place to stay with a buddy at Lake Bastrop. Anyone know of good places to stay that don't break the bank? We're bringing my boat, so I need a place to park (and charge) it overnight.

Always stayed at south shore park in a camping spot with water and electric. Super cheap-$35. Adequate shower and restroom facilities.

There are small trailers and cabins at North Shore park.
South Shore has 18 cabins.

Need to reserve early.

Never put in at the south ramp. Is it about the same as the north one?

Get a cabin and stay at the South Park. Fire pit and grill no frills place but cheap and boat parking is good. Tie on your favorite square bill and throw along the edges of the grass and hang on.

Have fun!

You've never been to Sheldon Lake in Houston if you think the South Park ramp is steep.

Both Bastrop launches are less than 30ft long. Just steeper South.

Dang, I never thought it was steep the few times I’ve been there.

Either way, lake isn’t very big, you could drive to north in like 5-10 minutes

If you like to camp, it's one of the nicest campgrounds we've stayed at. At several, you can pull your boat right up to shore and run a power cord from your camp site to the boat charger

+1. Love it there- just wish the fishing was as good as Fayette.

Southshore has some little cabins, but they do not have a bathroom in them. Northshore has some cabins and Airstreams for rent. I do not know how much the cabins are, but the RVs are $$$ per night.

Be safe,

I’ll be out there Friday. Just giving a heads up because my mere presence on a body of water tends to completely kill the bite. Fair warning.
