What is the true definition of a tomboy?

Tomboy refers to a female whose behavior is free from the restriction of unwritten societal gender rules.
She doesn't think she is being boyish or girlish, she is being herself.
It is hopefully considered an old-fashioned term.

i looked that up.
that's from the dictionary.

if you look at wiki-p
you get an entirely different definition.

Guess it depends on the definition of a “man.”

Being “male” doesn’t necessarily make you a “man” in my opinion. In my opinion, “men” are becoming a dying breed.

too many young guys think they become a man at 18 . Maybe in the old days that was true ---not today .
Your only a man if you pay your own way , abide by the law . Age is just a number --- some guys become a man before 18 , some never do regardless of age .

Who cares?

I gave up caring because "being offended" seems to be a recreational sport now.

I do enjoy that “wokeness” and gender dysphoria has killed feminism, but if tomboy offends you, you can go f yourself. Kindly of course.

I don't care if it is offensive. I am tired of getting along to go along.

if this is a Tomboy can I order two? I know when I was in my teens this is the kind of women I wanted. They have great hearts, will work alongside of you. They have your back and will sit next to you in church. I am not sure you can get a better wife than a Tomboy

What I never could understand is the guys that take offense at a woman that isn’t a squealy girl. I’m not afraid of snakes and critters and will give you a hard time if you are. Especially if you’re supposed to be some big bad outdoorsman.

Funny you say this...all of my past relationships have been with "tomboy" girls. They were all get dirty, outdoors, hunting, fishing, etc. type of girls. It helps if you enjoy the same things and can do them together. But it became too much...we both needed new toys ($$$), spent all of our time talking about it, and shared every friend which made for some interesting conversations when we hit rocky patches.

Flash forward to now. The Mrs and I have been together for 10 years and are opposites. She enjoys crafts, baking, basically many of the girly things. She freaks at lizards, snakes, bugs, etc. She's not an outdoors person that you see wanting to camp in the wilderness and go hunting. She likes to glamp. AHAHAHAH So now, I get to enjoy the outdoors alone most of the time.

I think think this is helping us by allowing us time away so we're not side by side every waking minute.

I had to read that like five times to make sure I was reading it correctly.

So my response is,
I can’t think of a friend I’ve ever had that thought what you just said.
