I don’t know how many are affected, I have one of the first ones made. I can’t post a direct link for some reason, copy and paste this, if you want to fix it yourself. https://cdn.uk.exponea.com/lowrance-production/e/CgxgxU7K4hIUe81xFa0SIHMrVL-kn-4qfmBV2267f_ir0rgsoEp-ASc3RijOy2poMRtlfCHo3thBcgxje6CFxspIZgGUiNQ.hCj8-fke3VTecg?xnpe_tifc=xuh_xD_lxdxpxDPs4Fo7xjpDaueXMds_OuPubDEs4FoJtIPL4unA4Fx7bCl8xdnltIYJhIeLhuY84IPuhypL4uoJbfbZ4Ix8bDh.4IEN&utm_source=exponea&utm_campaign=November%7C%202022%20%7C%20eNews%20%7C%20AMER%20%7C%20Ghost%20technical%20update&utm_medium=email Maybe this one works…edit: why in the frick aren’t they direct linking? https://www.lowrance.com/globalassets/lowrance/help-and-support/tb-164372-ghost-over-current-protection-11_07_22.pdf?xnpe_tifc=hFVjbuojxI1DOInZb.oZ4jpsafeWaeiWhFW5b9PLauLLaIoXnkEAbfs3tu4vaMXlxfbDbDLshFYjOknJ4DbX&utm_source=exponea&utm_campaign=November%7C%202022%20%7C%20eNews%20%7C%20AMER%20%7C%20Ghost%20technical%20update&utm_medium=email

Curious what the actual issue was? I got mine pretty close to when they released March of 2020 and never had any issues Aside from a few prop replacements lol

I guess some were wired wrong and they could over heat. There’s a YouTube video out by Lowrance showing the fix, step by step. It’s way easier to understand, than reading the directions above.

Curious what the actual issue was? I got mine pretty close to when they released March of 2020 and never had any issues Aside from a few prop replacements lol The wire that you reroute is the main power positive. The recall mentions to ensure you have a proper sized and functioning circuit breaker. The main power is routed on the bottom next to that bottom cover plate which happens to be grounded. If that main power’s insulation rubs through it would create a dead short on that aluminum cover plate. Not a big deal if have a circuit breaker and it pops. If you don’t have one it could cause a fire. My guess is that is what happened and now we have a recall. The recall just reroutes the main positive feed above other wires so it won’t rub on the grounded plate.

Ha my ghost has been waiting on parts (navico says) since July. I'm so done with anything lowrance sales. 4l for a trolling motor almost used it a total of 3 hours and now it's a paper weight
I can backlash toilet paper.

They said the seal behind prop went out which let water into the motor which in turn fried everything. So I'd assume the whole foot. They just said still waiting on parts. I told them send me a whole new damn TM

Thanks for the "Heads Up" on this grout-scout. Appreciate you.
Checked mine and completed the Rework. It took about 10 minutes. Curious to see what type of gear Lowrance is sending those who do their own Rework vs. taking it in to a service center. Will let you know.

It's literally been in the water 4 days.
