is anyone else here with a daiwa steez svtws cutting their fishing line? its the weirdest thing. ive went through 3 different brand fishing line before i realized its my new steez reel cutting my line. if anyone has this issue or knows about it, what is going on and how do i correct it. thanks

Take a cotton swab and check your rod eyelets. Make sure ones not cracked or rough spot. Had same problem was rod not reel. Just a fyi
|

Or just try it on a different rod!
Highly unlikely that itโs a reel issue.

I recently traded for 3 NEW rods, my line was shredded on all of them it was the rod tips on all. 3 tips I just replaced them and all good now, braid and mono both.

I have a few of those newer Steez CTSV reels. Not a single issue with any of them. Are you sure itโs not bad line? Vanish comes to mind.

That has always been a cracked rod eye insert when it happened to me. I used a light and magnifying glass to see it.
