I have HDS units on console and bow. All NEMA connected. I have a 3-n-1 transducer on the transom and a 3-n-1 nosecone transducer on the Ghost. Do either of these transducers include temp sensing? I believe both do. However, the display gets this data via the 7 or 9 pin transducer connector on the HDS case, not a NMEA node. Once acquired, the data may be shared via NMEA or Ethernet networks (but I forget which). You need to make sure you have the correct transducer model selected in setup or that auto-setup is enabled and operating correctly.

Hey guys, my one year old Lowrance Ti2 12 has gone on the blink. It will turn on for about 15 seconds, have a little "blip" at about 12 seconds that acts like it's about to load, then at 15 seconds, shuts down. It's not the power. I swapped it out to my power at the front graph, which works fine, and it does the same thing. Any ideas?

Hard factory reset to original out of box memory image. If it's salvageable at all, that might get you there. The manual tells you how..

Fivebites; you are not a big dummy. In fact you experienced one of my biggest Lowrance aggravations. If you are on the water late in the evening / night, the brightness level you use in the daytime is way too bright. So, you turn it way down so that you are not blinded. The next time (daytime) you power up your unit, it comes up at the low brightness level. So low in fact that you may not be able to see it at all.
REALLY REALLY STUPID LOWRANCE. ALWAYS power up at the high brightness level. Then the operator can lower the brightness if needed.

Have 2 Lowrance 12s on the console networked on a 2 in 1 transducer. Signal on 2d sonar is lost when I get on pad. Is the best answer to mount another ducer (2d single) beside the 2 in 1 ducer? I believe both will plug in?

The 2-1 doesn’t have 2d sonar, it’s just SI & DI. So, do you have a separate 2d transducer or do you have a 3-1 transducer?

No sir. Was asking if adding a 2 d transducer would work with the existing 2 in 1 transducer. Lots less cost then going to 3 in 1 and removing the 2 in 1

No sir. Was asking if adding a 2 d transducer would work with the existing 2 in 1 transducer. Lots less cost then going to 3 in 1 and removing the 2 in 1 Ok, lots of variables here with all the different models. I assume you have Carbons or Lives, but should be the same with older graphs, except maybe the Ti series. If your current transducer is plugged into the BLACK sonar port on the graph, then you can add a 2d transducer with no problem. Assuming it’s a bass boat and you have the ability to get into the inside bottom hull, you can install a “shoot thru hull” puck. If you can’t get into the hull, you’d need a skimmer model, it mounts on the transom. Now, here’s where the different model part comes. HDS Live uses a 9 pin transducer and Carbon/Gen3/Gen2 use a 7 pin. What model of graphs do you have and what kind of boat? We’ll get you the right info that way, don’t want you ordering the wrong part.

Thank you sir. The boat is a 21 cx Caymas bassboat. The units are all Lives. I have two 12” on the console and a 16 “ on the bow.

Ok, I’d make sure that you don’t already have a 2d puck transducer in the hull, I feel like that quality of builder would install one. But in the odd chance that they didn’t, you’d need the 9 pin “shoot through hull” puck.
If you can see the back of the graph, you should have a black plug sonar and a blue sonar port. If the blue sonar is plugged in, it’s a shoot through puck. It’s possible that the graph isn’t setup correctly and you might need to tell the graph to read the proper transducer for 2d on plane sonar. This gets more challenging over the internet to explain. But first look to see if that blue sonar port has a plug into it or not.
If you don’t have a blue plug cable, I’d let your dealer install it for you. Bilge diving isn’t fun.

Elmo, if you do happen to have a blue sonar plug, post back and I’ll find a video that will show you how to properly select each transducer through the 2 different channels.

I have a 1-year-old replacement 9" Lowrance Split-Shot on my TM. I sent the original back last year to see what was wrong with it, and they just sent me another one. The replacement has been doing the same thing as the original. the water depth reading goes away. This happens when I am in shallower water with grass or deep water with lots of tall grass. My Triple Shot on the helm does not do this. I am running the Split-Shot on High Chirp. Should it be on some other setting?
