I hope they both earn their way back next year.

Agreed. Ish does best when he finds the fish that puts him in the "If I can get 5 bites a day, I will be competitive." position.

Totally agree!!... I definitely like watching him and Bobby Lane and wish them the Best. woot

Heard an interview with Bobby Lane on BTL this week. His sole motivation is he wants to win the Classic. Said that's pretty much the only thing he hasn't done in fishing and he wants that before he hangs it up.

I hope he gets one.

Hate to see him go.

He wins pretty often back home on the West Coast. In addition he is not hurting for cash either.

He fishes the Delta and Clear Lake tourneys all the time ---- with several organizations . They post those tournaments on Western Bass and I haven't seen him win or place in the top 3 in a long time .
There are a ton of really good , young tourney guys that win on those places . Fishing the Delta is like a cult out here and you have to fish it a lot to get good at it .

Look at his FB page the past year. Unless he is making up plaques and trophies himself(which I doubt) he seems to post a high finish or win every week or two.

He won a Toyota Series on the Delta 2 years ago.

He won the Toyota Series on the Delta in 2020, 4th in 2021.

I think he'll be fine but I do think any of the 9 who qualify will truly earn it. It's going to be tough

I never said he wasn't any good , I was simply saying that he fishes the Delta a ton . I see the Delta tourney results posted every week and he rarely places in the top three . Does he win there --- yes , for sure , especially if it's in the summer when a frog bite is on . There are a ton of really good fisherman on the Delta and he is one of them . It's basically his home "lake" and he should know it as well as anyone .
