All these electric cars and whatever else is all good great and fine I guess, my thoughts about all of it is how do we all plug in our chargers for these and expect the electric grid to be able to supply the demand for all that! Heck we can barely keep our homes all powered up now!
We go adding these chargers that can fast charge batteries like some of this stuff is going to need, they are going to use lots of amps. Then there is the issue with what is fast charge, time wise? It's not going to be like just 15-20 minutes... If it was the rate of electricity consumption would sure enough draw down the grid...
I think there is some neat technology for all this stuff, but it has lots of growing pains yet to deal with, one of which is how do you charge back up and in a timely fashion and not requiring 30 amps of 220 - 3 phase power...
Then, there is the marketing of these new products, it will be interesting to see just how much all this is going to cost for those of you that can afford them. I already exclude myself. Your going to need to move the decimal point over to the right and add another zero to add enough electric power at your house in order to get the needed chargers and safety equipment for all this... Then your going to want the portable charger so when you go to the lake that your staying for a week.

Supposed to be a v10 motor, what would that be 400+ HP?

I wish they would actually make enough motors for you to buy first. I went to my local Basscat dealer and he can’t get any Pro XS or Sho motors right now for re-power customers. I had cash in hand and he can’t get motors from either supplier right now.

I can see it now, has a 200 mile range at a 1/3 throttle but at full throttle you will get maybe 50 if you're lucky! How is the charging station infrastructure going on the road let alone on the water lol. You're lucky if you can get gas on the water, electricity will be a new frontier. Won't see it be relevant unless there is a significant improvement in current battery technology

You're gonna need a really big, wide boat to have room for the solar panels and wind generators, so you can get back to the ramp. IslandJim

all of this electric motors, cars, ect will come to an end when the current administration is gone.,. ive seen this same scenario before., many folks will be stuck with a lot of junk that nobody wants to work on and cant get parts for. Most of the root of these electric contraptions are more battery sales reasons than anything else. when electric cars get flooded they like to catch on fire, and it can take days to extinguish the fire.. now they will attempt to put the battery packs in the bottom of a boat.. its a disaster waiting to happen. you will have no choice but to jump out and swim for your life., would not be fun in 5o degree water. if u take a few lithium watch batterys and put them in a bucket of water, they explode.. just think what a full sized group 29 sized battery will do.. The newer outboards like the merc optimax are very fuel efficient and burn alot cleaner than the old carbureted models. Its shocking the difference in fuel that my 115 yamaha carb outboard and my 115 merc optimax burns. the yammy probably burns twice as much as the opti does.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
