I hit Ray Roberts for a couple of hours around 8:30AM launching out of Pond Creek. Water temps were around 64 degrees and wind was consistent around 15 MPH. Water clarity was maybe 1 foot. Lake is around 2 ft low.

I caught 3 bass, 2 on a shakey head with a Zoom trick worm black and purple colored as well as a white spinnerbaits with gold blades. I had another one that I lost at the boat on the same spinnerbait. I targeted rocky shorelines where there was slack water. I missed 2 or 3 other fish on the shakey head dragging it SLOW on the bottom around rocks.

I could not buy a bite on a flipping jig or crankbaits. This was my first time at the lake and I will definitely go back to target some crappie. The amount of bait fish and crappie I saw stacked up in flooded timber was amazing.
