Make sure you got your pre emergent out and watered in. I'm going to put down an app of fert next week and I'm done for the year. Tamps are going to start cooling off next week. If you've got a lot of weeds you need to clean up we are getting into the temps where you can use some of the hose end products. Depending on turf type and weeds you need controlled.

Got it, thanks again.

Finally put down my Fall Prodiamine application @ .43 oz./ 1000. Latest I have ever put it out, but ground temps are still pretty high. Hopefully the Foliar application will give better results than the granular. I am still spot spraying Spurge weekly with MSM and a surfactant. First year this has been a problem at all, and it is everywhere. Pretty sure the neighbors landscape crew brought it and it washed into my lawn. Made my 3rd application of Sulphur last week @ 5 lbs. per 1000 for the year. I firmly believe that the Sulphur and 18-24-6 fertilizer (3x50 lbs.) that I used in the spring and early summer has improved the health a given it a greener color than before. Making my final AS fertilizer application next week. It will be my 4th application @ 2.5 lbs. per 1000. That will give me 4.8 lbs. of Nitrogen per 1000 for the year if my math is correct. I also only bagged my grass about 10 % of the time giving me a little free N.

9-23-22 view from my shop.

Nice! This is by far the worst year I've ever had with spurge. And the one year I didn't put gallery down. Not bagging your clippings is also good for your Phosphorus numbers. Next year I should be right around 4lbs of N for the year, maybe a little less.

FYI, Amazon has GrubEX on sale for $20.65 and DiseaseEx for $18.46 a bag. I picked up a bag for next year. You may find it cheaper later on, but I'm not counting on it.

No good deed goes unpunished Derek. At least it will be cooler when you mow today.

I was @ the Rangers game yesterday and it was 99 degrees when we left. As we walked to our car I stopped and pointed out to my wife that the Spurge was terrible in the grass around the stadium...............She told me I have a problem. bang

Haha. I do the same. This year on vacation our Air Bnb's St Aug was super crisp. I found a sprinkler and watered different sections everyday.

Is this for general application or as needed?
I ask because after several years of using a service, I have decided to manage my lawn myself.

I would consider it as a general/preventative application. It's best to get a granular out ahead of any potential issues. It's going to take time for it to get down into the soil and up taken from the roots. My main concern is dollar spot which disease ex is useless against it. But I keep it in rotation for stuff like gray leaf spot, brown patch, tarr (take all root rot)

If you have any itemized invoices of the products and times your service used I can take a look at them for you to see what all they did.

Very limited. You're pretty much looking at something like Scotts Bonus S which is just Atrazine. Atrazine is for broad leaf weeds. Comes in a hose end spray as well. Hi Yield has a very low formula of Trimec that they claim is safe on St Aug. Probably is at that low of a formulation but still a bit sketchy for me. If you have a whole variety or weeds you're looking to control. Your best bet is to call a local independent spray and pray company and tell them you want a blanket application or MSM, Celsius and Certainty. That will kill just about everything except Dallis and blue stem and it's a safe 3 way mix for St Aug.
