If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I use a uni-knot for most of my terminal tackle connections. Have a couple different types of loop knot that I use depending on application. Haven't really needed much else.

Fish-n-fool knot up to 30# test, then I use the Eye-crosser knot for 30# plus line.
