I am going to upgrade reels soon and I have decided between Shimano Chronarch 150MGL US model or Metanium 2020 model from Japan. What is your thoughts on best between these two options? I have not been able to handle the metanium but I have the chronarch and really like it.

For the guys that have both what are your thoughts on these two reels a tell me what you think and why?

I don’t have the chance to spend this kind of money often so I want to get it right.

I ended up buying 5 JDM Metaniums from Digikata, can’t beat the price! Heck, it’s cheaper than buying US models and they are the better reels.

You could just buy 1 metanium and then resell it if you don’t like it.

Warning: when you buy from Digikata, the price pretty much changes daily depending on the dollars value. The price shown is the approximate price, not the guaranteed price and then they charge a few extra dollars on PayPal for a Japanese transaction. Still almost half the cost of a US Metanium. I think I paid about $235 per reel.
