Paint them like green or bright orange. The white blends in with the glare off the water sometimes making them hard to see for me.

Sounds like some of y’all might just need to slow down a little. Get some glasses. Save the buoys as waypoints on your graphs…… or whatever.

go all out and put up red/green, green headed north/red south. maybe thinking another boat is up there will slow some down.
for now, I made a dual led spot for the front light socket, have a remote for on/off so I don't blind anyone hopefully.
lances boatlanes pro is on the garmin
I have seen some out pre light flat gettin it in the main lanes out from williams, flashlights shining all over.

I wish they'd do somethng diffrent for sure, at least a different color like flourescent orange. As said above the white has a tendency to blend in with the back ground especially if there is glare. The area I probably have the most issues with keeping up with the markers and running out of them is the area on the west arm just south of the high line. I've come through there a couple of times since getting my bug and run way out of the boat lane before it registered on me where the next marker buoy would be. Need the the boat lane software too.

I know they have reflective marking on them only if you have a light! So get a light or get hurt trying to run lanes before safe light….? Get a light and set up trails on your graph. Simple as that.

TPW isn't responsible for boat lane markers and they have reflective markings on them. The most dangerous thing on Fork during a tournament is the idiots running around in the morning with a spotlight shining it into the eyes of oncoming traffic. Lighted buoys are the only reasonable answer to keep everybody the safest.

Big problem could be one boater following BoatLanes GPS and oncoming boater using visual bouys that have drifted out of position. This is the potential for disaster. The bouys need to be reset in proper position. Stained dirty ones need to be replaced. SRA has to have public safety obligation to maintain the bouys in correct position if SRA set them to assist the boating public. I would also recommend a few more frequent bouy settings in the Change of course areas to improve boater safety where bouys are not always visible due to glare, cloudy days or stains.

considering the money involved at Fork, they are substandard pieces of [censored].....SRA should be ashamed and should fix the markers immediately with vastly upgraded equipment...they are not even functional in the daylight actually and most of us did not grow up driving a boat with our head looking at a graph map trail
