Are you just looking for bites no matter the size, are you hunting for the big one, or are you practicing with a purpose for future tournaments?

When I fun fish...I'm trying new areas that I don't often fish, trying new lures, and happy if I learn something about the body of water I'm on.
Yes it's great to get a bite or 3, but learning to me is more valuable.

Are you just looking for bites no matter the size, are you hunting for the big one, or are you practicing with a purpose for future tournaments? "Fun fishing" doesn't line up with "practicing with a purpose for future tournaments" in my opinion. When I'm fun fishing, I fish all my best stuff because I think catching the better fish will be fun....

i fish to catch fish but also use time on the boat for "therapy" from the chaos life can bring you. I want bites but like anyone prefer bigger fish. I am not one to sit on a point with a drop shot and catch 30 dinks.

Always looking for a bigger bite. Rarely successful, but I typically judge my day on the size of my biggest 3-5 fish, not on how many dinks i caught.

fishing is like therapy , just fun to be out , enjoy the water , weather --catch as many as I can regardless of size . Learning something new is icing on the cake .
These past two years --- I have spent a lot of time upgrading my skill using a jerkbait --- and man I love throwing a MB 110 , I had some epic days this year with those ---just wish the lips on those didn't break so easily

It’s all fun fishn now... start junk fishing with the big sticks, if a jig bite develops sweet...as I downsize baits the stick gets lighter making little fish more fun...many a day I end up with the ultralight 4lb test, catching bank runners... I just want fish...they are all good... back in derby days just need 5 bites that was a different style of fishn
