Go to the boat ramp at Texoma by the dam and work the bank out to the point. You should be able to check off a smallmouth from the bank. If you donโ€™t get any on artificial bait then try an earthworm or crawfish. You can get them at the store on HWY 75 and HWY 91. My wife and I caught several of them last week from the bank. Also caught spotted bass. Here is the biggest I caught.

Be mindful of the License arrangement for Texoma. From the shore - Texas side requires a Texas License, Oklahoma side requires an Oklahoma License but if your on the water from a boat then the Lake Texoma license can cover you for both states (While on Texoma). Because the Red River is the dividing line then most of the dam from the shore is in Oklahoma.

On Grapevine all of my smallie catches have come from the dam or the first few inlet areas near there.

Be careful regardless, walking on rip rap can be difficult at best.

Robert, it's fishing "in" the waters of the lake, not "from" the waters of the lake. You don't have to be in a boat for the Texoma license to be sufficient. Anywhere on the shore of the lake itself it is also valid.
