Myself and RD Myers had the pleasure of taking out some really fun groups over the last few days. I fished CC Thursday through Monday, and hit Whitney this morning (10/11). Both lakes seemed to get better and better the shallower we went. I will also note that the mid day bite is incredibly strong right now, which makes sense given that beautiful full moon.

The sandies on Cedar Creek are coming off of small slabs and the famous HellPet rig, while those Whitney stripers this morning all came off of Heavy Glow Thump Daddies from Constant Pursuit Outfitters. We were trolling those swim baits on A Rigs, moving along at 2.5-3mph, and doing our best to keep the bait bouncing along the bottom. It’s nice to see the artificial bite coming on strong. When those water temps drop, it’s going to be just plain silly.

Appreciate the kind words, Mr. Christian. I wasn't quite ready for my offshore season to be over, but it sure is nice to be seeing people smile on freshwater again, especially with how nice the weather has been.
