I feel like common sense could eliminate that.

Why does Champs keep going back to a place like that where everyone is scared of destroying their boats? Is being able to put some coins in a slot machine worth the risk? Champs needs to cross RR off the list.

I heard that the association of fiberglass repair shops sponsors bass champs and gives them a lot of money to go to Red river. And that the association is chaired by Chris Mcclain

A lot of guys actually like the fishery- probably not a majority, but a lot do. Then there is the $$ from the Chamber to BC, availability of lodging, and yes, the fun factor. Did anyone enjoy the Ivie Championship last year besides the top ten? Difficult finding a place to stay, long drive when you did, absolutely nothing to do for miles after getting off of the water, etc, etc.

Sounds to me just regular maintenance issues nothing the river is doing. I fish the river alot and have never torn anything up. Use common sense and you will be fine.

Ur correct Dax. Only 1 boat so far has been river damage. All others are maintenance deals. I have 3 in the morning lined up and they would of broke reguardless where it was

Just wanted to give a shout-out to mudd at H&W Marine. They replaced my seals on my hydraulic steering this afternoon on really short notice and I was in and out in an hour. I will definitely be back for maintenance needs. Thanks James for all your help.

Fishing is tough for sure.

Guess I should have checked the BC site for help, when they installed my seal kit the tech left the bushings and washer off on the port side. Realized something wasn’t right and thought the lines needed to be bleed a little more so I took it back to them on my way back to the rental. Manager came out and knew right away what was wrong. They fixed it and apologized so I was good with it.

Fishing wise I caught a 3lber first cast this morning and no other bites rest of the day.

The other team staying with us zeroed today on keepers but caught a bunch of small fish yesterday with 4 small keepers in the mix.

Going to a new area tomorrow fingers crossed we find something.

So, Champs made this a trailering tournament sort of out of the blue over a month out. With no weather threatening, were they just unable to get locking schedules lined up or something?
