I live 9 miles from the Tennessee river/Wheeler lake and spend more time looking at Navionics on my laptop than I do on my Lowrance on the water. I hope this helps. This is exactly what I do. I find some new spots on the laptop, take a pic with my cellphone and then go fish it. ccat, I launch out of Ditto and run either way. G Dam to Triana Boat ramp are where I concentrate my searches. Nut, I launch out of there as well.....great area, especially with current. I live about 9 miles from the Nuke plant and launch mostly at Cowford and around Rogersville. I am sure I've seen you at some point. Center Console SeaArk, Zuke and 16 Driftmasters.

If you have room on your dash, run the one you have beside a side scan. I'm a recent convert from offshore so as said above I do favor Garmin. My offshore of course has Garmin units on it so does my smaller boat!
