10/14/2022: Cliffshot and I fished CC from 12:30 to 4:45 PM and caught 136: 125 whites, 4 yellow bass, 3 short hybrids, 2 cats, and 2 black bass.
I caught most of mine on a #4 Mepps and Cliff caught them about equally on a #4 and a #2. The best spot was Enchanted Isle Ridge in 16 fow. We also caught them at Long Ridge, Kevin's Point, Iron Wall Hump, Spillway Hump, and Doll-house Point, where we ended the day still catching fish. At Enchanted Isle Ridge, I did the best by dragging a #4 low and fast, rod to the side, for 6 reel turns, stopping, and repeating all the way back to the boat. We could see fish on the side-scan. One of the blacks went about 3 1/2 lbs.

10/26-27/2022: Did a scouting run on the 26th in prep for taking two out on the 27th. Found fish at Pitts Point in 20 fow, East Dam Hump in 20 fow, Campbell's Hump in 12 fow, and Merimac Hump in 18 fow. The deeper fish preferred a #4 Mepps and the shallower fish a #2 Mepps. Caught 38. On the 27th we found fish at Campbell's Hump, Drew's Humps, Poll Dance Point, and Flagpole Point in 10 to 17 fow. #2 Mepps worked best but you could catch them on #4 also. We ended up with 88; 84 sandies, a 23 and a 22.5 inch hybrid, a crappie , and a short hybrid.

Good job Dennis. I need to get out on the water. Maybe next week. I am now launching out of Lone Star due to the water level.

10/30-31/2022: Went out for a couple of hours each day and found fish on deeper structures such as 3-Jug Hump and Enchanted Isle Ridge. I caught fish on every cast using a Mepps #4. The shad have finally grown up.
