Don’t grow the sport. Make it smaller. Only so many fish out there.

Rayburn is a huge lake. I will admit we were not happy with it but it is what it is. If everyone is courteous and respectful ( I know asking a lot) then it should be fine. We put the message out to make sure and book rooms if you think you have a good shot at State(you can always cancel reservations) and if you have a boat captain that fishes you may have a alternate during the regular season so they can captain State.

Rest of you can continue on.

Wouldn't it be easier to wait until the "big" tournaments you're worried about have their schedules out and then set your tournament?

You would think. But with HS events starting in the early fall (September) we have to book way ahead of time. So our schedules come out in January or February so we can lock in venues and such. THSBA has 50 events during the months of September to June. Rayburn will be fine.

The folks that run BOTH ORGINIZATIONS are GROWN MEN, you think if they had any issues with one another they'd sit down and discuss it?

They have , neither is changing there schedule . The advantage the high school teams has is they can leave the ramp at 5:00 am and be setting in all the good spots .

Slim that's kind of what I figured. If they are happy with it? As the saying goes............

High school boat captains being courteous thats funny. Rayburn is huge it can handle it and Im sure most of the HS will be following someone around or jumping in on people when they see a rod bent I’m sure.
