Hard lesson to learn.. although I'm surprised they allowed him to fish the first two days
Before catching it and being DQ'd after he's in 2nd place on the final day

You probably should have that level of coverage for any level of tournament you fish.

all the big bass on fork require 300k coverage, not that expensive either.

Are you talking about Sealy? There is nothing on their site about insurance. https://sealyoutdoors.com/rules/

I don't recall having to show it for Skeeter Owners or Legend of Lake Fork either.

Gerald Swindle's video on Facebook said they only check the first few boats launching each morning and that's why they didn't catch it sooner.

The first time Ive ever had to bump my coverage up to $300k was when my boys started fishing High School last year. Never had $300k before that and have never seen it written in rules about it.

For me, the 300k minimum costs me about $14 a year........ I don't understand why anyone wouldn't have it.

Many umbrella policies require $300k on all base policies too.

Makes you wonder if someone overheard him talking about not having that coverage and they then snitched on him
