Thinking about hitting Bonham Sunday just for some place different. Anybody have any updates on how the fishing been and what the ramp situation is like?

Never have much luck on Bonham. I prefer to go to Crockett or coffee mill.

I was on coffee mill Sunday. Lots of bait busting the surface and small bass chasing them. The entire lake is shallow, I think average is maybe 6 feet. There is only one ramp on each lake and it’s $2 to launch. I don’t know that you’ll catch lunker, but there are plenty of fish to catch an normally it’s not too crowded.

Crockett was HORRIBLE last weekend and Coffee Mill wasn’t much better. I’d be curious to hear what won that Saturday tournament on Coffee… betting it wasn’t a whack fest.

Please report back on how Bonham is fishing, good luck!

Bonham has been tough, only 3 -4 good bites. water is still murky with only 8-12in of visibility. the both ramps are still shallower than normal but you can still get on and off with ease. the issue if your using the park ramp is the boat dock. jumping on the boat is fine, but when you go to off the boat onto the dock, it is about chest high so you better have your jumping shoes on and be able to pull your self up on the dock.

Bonham has been fishing tougher than usual ! You can still get quality bites it just takes a lil patience ! good luck let us know how you do !!

Coffee mill tournament took 16 to win and 15 for 2nd ! Not many bites but when they did bite it seemed to be quality!

Honey Hole TV filmed a show from there a couple of years ago and they didn't tear them up but caught some 2 to 3 pounders, they mainly fished the dam rocks with medium diving crankbaits if I remember right. It was about this time of year.

Bonham gets slaughter by bass club Dans.

It used to be awesome, now it's so-so at best.
