Nice. Do you have any problems with material getting stuck between the hopper and shutter opening not allowing it to open or close? That's about the only complaint I've heard about that but that was a few years ago. They might have tightened that gap now. So far so good, I got it this year so maybe they have addressed that. I'll keep a closer eye on that when I spread my Stonewall and sulpher. I'll keep you posted.

Anything should beat the Scotts spreader. Mine left green steaks in my lawn from the fertilizer collecting inside the wheels and sometimes it would not close at the end of my lawn. I`ve seen good reviews on the Echo on other forums. That's the issue. There were lots of people modifying them with foam spray or covering the wheels with paper plates. I wasn't down with that so I got this one. We'll see how she does.

Damn. Lowes has had a $10 a bag increase on Stonewall this week. It was $33 when I looked on Monday and now it's $43. Also went up on Dimension to $80. Crazy. They had it on clearance at a lot of locations just a couple months ago.

I`m going to try and wait another week and maybe it will be back so I can spay it. If not I have just enough of the granular to do 1 more fall app.

I got a 5lb jug in 2020 for $65.00 It's $100 now. Split a gallon of growth regulator last week between 3 people and only cost us $50ea. For me that's about a 6yr supply. I think the 5lb jug of the 65WDG is like a 5-6yr supply too.

I gave 100 bucks for 5 lbs. and that was 10% off reg price. I can go 5 years without getting anymore for my lawn. Damn. Lowes has had a $10 a bag increase on Stonewall this week. Well, I got my Chapin 63924 BP sprayer back after sending it off to get it repaired under warranty. It is night and day better with a new pump they put in it, and they sent me a new battery and charger. When I tested it as a new sprayer, it would pump 1 gallon in 2.5 minutes, and I calibrated my speed per 1000 sq. ft. per gallon. The new pump will pump 1 gallon in 1 minute and 30 seconds. That is using a T Jet AIXR11006VP nozzle. Thats a big difference. The new pump is much quieter also. Going to have to do some adjusting on my walking speed now. I`m also going to get to apply my Prodiamine 65 WDG in a few days. Hoping to get better results on my Poa Annua with spraying over the granules. Hopefully this pump will perform like this longer than the last one.

Thatโs a good deal. I switched to that same tip this year and like it a lot. Prodiamine is pretty decent on poa. Doing an app of Simazine around Thanksgiving helps a lot. I pretty much have a life time supply of it. Pm me your address and Iโll send you a bottle.

suggestions for a battery leaf / pine needle blowers around $150 I would be looking at Ego. They have their 650 cfm(180 mph) model for $199.00 with battery and charger. Not a bad deal. If you're already on a battery platform you might see what is the highest CFM model they offer. Which for me I'm on the Ryobi 18v system. Best blower I could get is 280 cfm(100 mph) which would be fine for what I do blowing off sidewalks. If I'm blowing pine needle piles and heavier clumpy type stuff I want a beast and some CFM, I.e. ego.

Here is the update on my neighbors lawn. In just a few months it went from trash to nice. Not perfect, still have some filling in to do and a few more weeds to kill. I did have to you some high end herbicides at the start. Other than that it's been basic fertilizer, watering and mowing. Great results Derek. For Sure, very nice results Derek!

With rain in the forecast, it should be a good weekend to put down some pre emergent.

Derek ---
I have St Augustine, Prairie Bermuda, Tif-419 Bermuda. The heat killed the majority of the St. Augustine(no big deal), it also killed a big portion of my TIF-419(the golf course looking bermuda) I want to re-sod with something like Zoysia or a bermuda that is drought tolerent. I will also be re-doing my sprinklers to allow for better coverage. In your opinion, what type of grass should I go with. I have about an 1/2 acre around the house that will need the re-sod. thanks !!
