OP hopalong Pescador Loco Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 121,182 lost in the ozone	just put my hand on the deck rail, forgot to look first. yellowjackets hit me about 4 - 7 times in a nano second then they all died a horrible bug death. big ole nest right where I put the hand. I have to watch out for them critters, the guinea wasps and the big red wasps. Red wasp: I have never been stung by a bumble bee or a bald faced hornet. I hear one of the worst stings is from those orange and black ground critters we call cow ants (but they are a wasp) ; Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

It managed to sting me through the sole of my shoes. Worst critter I've run into was resting my arm on an asp on the fence rail.
