Y'all, I have hardwood floors and Huyana is getting older and having worse and worse traction issues. She fell down the stairs this morning and it's pretty common that she loses traction.. especially with that hind end. What's the best stuff to get to help her not go ice skating all the time?

I have nippers and a dremel and keep her nails nice and short. It's a treat time where she's in my lap on her back being fed cheese so it isn't exactly traumatic.

Having her wear boots in the house all the time would look dumb. No. loco_2

Have you looked into these?

Paw pads

Our senior dog, before she met the stars, had to get joint multi-vitamins. This helped with her gait issues.

Our cocker Vaquita was on something similar before she passed. I think I probably still have some buried in a cabinet somewhere.

we have an 11 and 12 year old Goldens who Scooby-Doo from the kitchen all the way to the front door as it is all travertine stone tiles, so we put carpet runners down from the front door to the back, made all the difference in the world... we also put our mattress on the floor cause they couldn't make the jump up like they used to, we call the bed the nest... ya do whatcha have to as long as ya got'em...

I have a couple Boxer dogs. The 9 month old is a real acrobat. We replaced every square inch of our place with commercial luxury vinyl a few years ago. We place rugs on the corners she has wiped out on.
