20-21 years racing is enough. Nothing wrong at all to retire due to medical conditions.

It's not up to him.
NASCAR rules forced him to take the Concussion Protocol Test, just like they do in football. He failed the first test just after the crash, and now he has to meet certain criteria to pass follow-on tests. Apparently if you're eyes are crossed, they won't let you on the track.
Could easily lead to retirement. Didn’t the same thing happen to dale junior towards the end of his driving career? Yes, the gaze stability issue he had to be living hell. There are plenty interviews out there of what he was going through for months, very interesting and scary. Dale Earnhardt would have rubbed some dirt on it and climbed back in the car for the win!
The Busch Brothers have always been cry babies. Yeah that refusing to wear a full faced helmet really worked out when he ate the steering wheel.

He retired, still having balance and vertigo issues. For anyone who doesnt follow Cup racing the next gen car has hurt a bunch of drivers this year.
