Looks like more than just a lack of respect for the resource out there. Seems there is a lot going on around there. Justin, it sounds to me like you are doing the right thing for you and your Wife. It looks like there may not be anybody fishing Fairfield pretty soon. Best of luck!

If you run tournaments in the summer in Texas fish are going to die. In some cases it might be a large percentage of them. If one really cared about fish living they would run these in a manner that the fish are weighed (or measured, whatever) and released right away.
That said, they are just fish and this made me hungry for fish tacos. The fish were legal size and I assume taken legally so that they died is not a big deal to me... leaving them to waste is not cool.
But yeah... RIP Fairfield.

Fairlfield and state park sold.
I am sure will be fenced off soon Yup, meat hunting should commence, take the kids and load the coolers with tasty bass. If its sold TPWD should let us come fish and take the fish and put them in our local lakes, or they should do this , but I'm sure that will never happen.

A 2 day catch and keep team deal with a 10 fish per team per day limit should be done. Then fry them. Lol

If I bought it, I’d let Joe Q in as long as their headlights stayed off at ramp. There will be a substantial day use fee, though. Close by ramps will be the bagnio and 5-star resort and they sleep in until 10am or so. Maybe this guy thinks like me…… If he did he wouldnt have 100 million to buy it......
