Our sales are thru the roof. that said, our raw material is up 75%, labor up 15%, transportation up 33% and had sudden supply chain disruptions. we've had 4 price increases in 14 months. how is your business doing? Y’all ship much LTL? we have weekly routes for interbranch orders that go on a full flatbed. we use a mix of freight companies and idependents for smaller shipments and do a ton of UPS.

I'm in transportation (flatbedding) and we've been booming since about 4-5 months after Covid came around. We've been putting up record breaking numbers in our fleet the last several months. We can feel a bit of a slowdown in certain parts of the country but hopefully it's short-lived.

I have not asked them to increase the price of my services, and it's been 9 years since we have had a price increase. I keep prices low so those that need to see me can. Business is good.

Business is good, we are booming, breaktime is over. We could increase our workload if we could hire more hands.

I’ve heard all about it!! I get my arse chewed like I’m still drawing a paycheck from MSG, but everyone is having issues. The conveyor belt business is good. Biggest headwinds are labor and lead time. A lot of our fabrication we do is labor intensive and borderline craft work, so it’s not easy to get people up to speed quickly. Supply chain has steadied and it seems freight costs have gained consistency.

Central Texas construction has been on double overtime since 2019, business is very good and there is no end in sight. For a year, Samsung dangled a little 17 Billion dollar chip plant prospect to several markets around the country. Now that we are knee deep into that construction here in central Texas, the overall scope has expanded to a 200 billion dollars overall project over 10 years. To give you a better picture of the size of the Samsung expansion, Tesla was just over 1 billion in construction. The number of business moving here to support just Tesla and Samsung is downright astonishing. And there are 100's of other companies moving and expanding in and around Austin. Anyone that isn't working is just plain lazy. We will have a major project coming up in Q4 that will need 15 guys and then when THU comes (in July of 23), we will need 50 guys plus equipment which we do not have at this time. Operations doesn't seem too concerned (in denial?) so I ain't too worried myself. My job is to get the work and theirs is to execute. Samsung is going to be a big deal and Taylor doesn't realize what they bit off. They do not have the infrastructure in place (roads, power, water, etc.) and they are furiously trying to get up to speed because we all know that Samsung is a very demanding company. Then throw in the restaurants, motels, RV places, apartments and so on to handle the 7,000+ construction hands at the peak and that sleepy little town is going to get buried alive. But there is money to be made if you can support one of the needs.

Have worked at the same place for 38 years....always knew a paper shortage would be the death of our organization if we got caught without long-standing commitments and relationships through the supply chain. It finally paid off for us...while many can simply not get various grades of papers, plastics, and corrugate...we have more than we need. Of course, we are paying 60% more in many cases than we did two years ago...a printer without paper is screwed. We are kicking it!!!
Labor is a different category...we have been robbed by the Mint in Ft Worth...they literally recruited 50 of our very best, long-time employees, offering twice what we paid and crazy benefits...I said goodbye and good luck to many friends and don't blame them a bit. Many left the Mint when they demanded that employees get vaccinated --- Lord knows Biden loves to print money so they needed help and of course, they have very deep pockets!
I overall feel blessed that our planning has helped many of our customers stay unaffected by the supply chain...lead times are a different story as is our plan to keep more inventory on hand than in previous times....every customer we have is either paying more or on notice...you can not hold pricing today and stay in business...you put off the increase and you are hurting everyone who works with and for you.
So...salesman, bow up, take the increase, and go sell it fairly!!! Those who price -gouge in times like these will pay.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Two price increases since Nov 2021. All of my customers are chomping at the bit to continue face to face engagement……sales meetings, trade shows, etc, etc. We’re hopping now, and I got me a new trainee. JM farms isn’t all that far from where I live

$5 diesel fuel makes my life very very busy. With the oilfield starting to get fired up, that just makes it 4X busier. Supply issues are a pain, but in the scale of things ours are minor compared to others, and people are way more willing to compromise to get something instead of nothing now. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/MPmBg1P/cudd-trailer1.jpg)

I sell empty boxes for fun and profit. The massive shift to E-Commerce has been good to our industry but we still do a significant amount of retail and point of purchase. The cost to conduct business is through the roof.
