Long time hunting forum member, and I'm getting the family back into fishing. Looking to spend $400-700 tops on a graph, what would you guys suggest? I gave up on bass tournaments years ago, looking to get the kids on catfish, sandbass and stripers. I bought an old sea ark suntastic that i want to mount it on. My buddy told me to buy the lowrance hook reaveal 7x for $426. open to there opinions and pro's and con's.

thnaks for and info Josh

1995 and the Seller said it had less than 100 hours on it, I’m supper pumped for the family.

I second the garmin 93 sv, I run 3 of them on my champion and like them better than the birds I had. ran nothing but humminbird for as long as I have had boats and the garmin is super easy to use (get the touch screen if you can).

Josh If you are looking at the Lowrance Hook Reveals I would not get the x models no mapping. If you want the full deal with Sonar, DownScan, Side Image and mapping get the TS model in 7 or 9 in. The model you get really depends on how far you want to go down the road. Expansion of fishing tools is non existent with the Hooks. You get what you get and no expansion of new tools, If you look at the Elite FS that is a great middle of the road unit, Touch Screen Ethernet so you can add an Active Target live sonar anytime, or add another unit and they talk to ea other. Has great built in mapping with Depth Shading and also capable of runnning a Navionics map besides the C Map products. The FS is available in in 7 and 9" Not sure where you live but if you PM me I will be in BP Garland and Cabelas Allen in a week if you want to come in they are on display. Feel free to contact me anytime with questions.

Thanks bandit I ran to cabelas today and checked them out. They didn’t have any in stock so I got mine ordered. The hook reveal was on sell for $319. I opted to go with the garmin, I hope it gets here soon.

I agree with Larry Hutchens Lowrance Pro S on the lowrance Elite FS touch units you can add LIVE technology "Active Target" down the road plus add other units without any problems by ethernet. Lowrance is Plug & Play friendly right outta the box & more user friendly without much learning curve. More Professionals use Lowrance than any other on the market. 2cents
