Had an 04 Stratos 285 ProXL w/Yama 150. Man, that boat was the best single person fishing boat. very manueverable in rough water, around docks, stumps, shallow water, etc. Really miss it.

Almost sold my old Nitro MX185/Black Max150 when I bought the Triton but was talked out of it and parked it at my property in NE Tx with plans to use it in that area instead of towing the Triton out there or if we decide to fish when we are there and don't have the Triton with us. That boat always ran very well with just a 150 on it and the ride was very good also. Already replaced the reeds in the motor and rebuilt the carbs, runs and idles great with only a little smoke on the hose, was not idling and smoked bad before. Need to finish some floor repair, front deck extension and installing hydraulic steering. Top cap metal flake looks like caca but...oh well....
1987 Nitro MX185/Mercury Black Max 150 (needs lots of work, put motor on nephew's boat) 1994 XSC-2200 "Jaguar" AKA Shadow 22 Magnum (restoring w/Mercury 200 XRI) 1994 Pantera II (restoring w/Mercury 200 EFI) 1999 Triton TX21/225 Mercury Optimax

Every new boat I have bought, and there have been several, it was always some kind of upgrade or improvement. I never regretted the change.

My step dad has a 206 with a 250XB on it, I think it has 120 hours on it and hasn’t been out of the barn in maybe 6 years. I’ve tried to buy it a hundred times but it’s a no go. He’s on the road about 9 months out of the year so I get to go over every now and then and put it on the water hose and let it run for awhile. It pizzes me off every time I fire it up, that XB is the best sounding motor ever made lol.
