Time to chase down the next hot topic.

At this point -TTO has properly done their part. THSBA has properly done what it should. Byron Nelson Fishing Team has done what it should. There is only one agency that has not done its part properly. I think any more discussion, complaining, and bitching should be directed to the one agency that has not taken the action that it should and we should now leave the organizations that have handled things properly alone. 100%. TPWD's response in my eyes is 2nd in deplorability only to the original anglers' actions. Everyone else in the story has handled it well.

I love this world we live in. We now have to be worried about the mental well-being of the thieves that are trying to steal from us. Haha. Exactly. Quite a 150 year stretch from hanging horse thieves, isn't it? I think some of the guys on here are about to start a GoFundMe account to pay for the thieve's therapy sessions.

I fish almost every weekend of the year and have fished 2 tournaments in my life, I think they’ll be ok if they are banned from tournaments. Not everyone’s existence is defined by bass tournaments.

What is wrong with TPWD these days, first the poaching game warden, then the corruption of them trying to change deer season in Grayson co. last year, now this. Not a good look lately.

I know, right…I mean the kids only fished 2 tournaments in a row and fished the high school series for whom knows how many years. I’m sure they won’t care at all, since you have only fished 2 in your lifetime, great comparison to them there. I’m sure all their high school buddies will be giving them “high 5’s” and “atta boys” for being cheaters. Yeah, this will probably not affect their lives at all, since it doesn’t affect yours, because you fish every weekend; but not tournaments .

All I know is if I found out they were fishing a tournament I was fishing I'd protest them the minute I found out... My decision on if I'm fishing or not would depend on the ruling of the TD... I don't have the time or interest to get to know them. Once a cheater, always a cheater... Dan

I see two problems here: 1. those kids knew better and MUST be held accountable. It should be up to a judge to decide how. 2. That Captain has a boss and needs to be notified about his conduct! He isn't a judge or District Attorney who decides on whether to file charges.
To the Tournament Director: a stern but polite letter to Fish and Game should outline the Captain's conduct so the right thing can be done.
Good luck (I personally would not let it lie as is) I have to agree with some here. Somebody knows somebody and does not want to make them accountable. I would not let it lie either. This reminds me of the UT college football player that got pulled over in Bastrop some years ago with a stolen gun and drugs in his car/ the prosecutor and judge said they could not ruin his chance at a professional football player. Case dismissed. If you or I cheated, Do you think we would not be prosecuted? I surely hope they are never allowed to fish any and all tournaments again, for SURE!!!!!!!!!!
