$4 for exactly 12 minnows. But, if you go to the larger providers you can buy a pound for $7 - I heard.

Getting those pontoon boats on a trailer in the wind can be tough,, make sure your trailer is set up really well, with side boards so you can get it on the trailer easier.. ive seen folks fighting like heck to get them on the trailer. one in the boat driving and 3 in the water trying to push it on.. also water is low everywhere right now, you have to back up far to get the boat to float.. too far and your back wheels on your truck start floating, then your screwed.. luckily I have 4X4 and always put it in 4 wheel drive when I back up my rig.. be smart, be safe... There are dozens of videos on Youtube of pickups on ramps completely submerged when people forgot to put them in park. You must have monster truck tires on your vehicle.

I really like that Garmin Min kota and some of the other manufacturers keep ungrading their products . Gives me a chance to buy on the used market for a very good price. Example,,,,,Im working on that new boat I bought and need a 80 lb. thrust trolling motor well looking through the used market I find one thats been used twice by a guy that upgraded to "spot Lock" etc, I got a $2K motor for $3 hundred, now I just might have enough money for that Garmin Live scope Best/joe

I was outside the Marina today and seen an old fella with looked like a dozen poles in holders all over his boat, he said he was crappie fishing and was catching some on minnows and jigs, I think I was just introduced to spider rigging. Whats your opinions on one man with 10/12 rods, seems like a MO for a meat fisher not very sporting ? I guess he wanted to catch some fish and get off the water before it got too hot............To each their own. Best/joe

If you can man 10-12 rods by yourself you are a better fisherman than most.

I doubt if there`s anyone around on this forum that can remember the old 66 bridge on Ray Hubbard but there use to be an old guy there that use to man 30 Loooooooooooong rods & reels! He had 15 on each rail with bells on each & at night the whole section of bridge he fished would be lit up like a City street with all his Colemans .He had a dog for company that was guardian to his equipment when he slept in his makeshift cardboard sleeping quarters. It was UNBELIEVABLE!! He was always there it seemed & he would sometimes give fish away to people that had a bad day . I later learned that he was fishing for his poor community just off Dalrock rd. and supplying them with fish and that his family had owned some property off Rowlett Creek just beneath where he was fishing before the bridge was built over it. His wife would bring him breakfast ,Lunch & Supper faithfully before they both passed away.
